PETA Protests HAM Radio Operators
It didn't take long for PETA Activists to get angry once they discovered that Amateur Radio Operators are also known as HAM Radio Operators.
The term HAM began being used
about the second decade of the 20th Century to refer Ameteur Radio Operators - fondly by the Operators themselves, and in a negative connotation by Commercial Operators to denote a 'poor
quality operator' or 'ham'.
Nevertheless, PETA finds the term extremely offensive to swine, and in their typical "In Your Face" Modus Operandi - began flooding the HAM Bandwidth with sounds of shrieking
pigs being slaughtered at their own hands, because in typical PETA fashion it's okay to kill animals if it's for the purpose of furthering their own hypocrisy. PETA Protest Event Organizer and Professional
Activist Gedda Lyfe stated "The pig shrieking will continue until we get our way!"
To date, PETA has slaughtered over 2,300 pigs to keep the on-air assault going. "Apparently none of the PETA Activists know they could've just slaughtered one, recorded it, and put it
on a loop over the spectrum." jokingly said female Amateur Radio Enthusiast Hissanne Krakul.
