Weather Channel Implements new Multi-Layered Click Bait

Atlanta Based The Weather Channel, notorious for forcing it's users to go through "Click Bait" to get to the actual article, has now implemented a multi layered approach to Click Bait.

"Click Bait" refers to creating a savvy Headline which interests many readers, but when the user clicks the article, it takes them to several minutes of completely unrealated video they must watch before getting to the actual story. It is usually ad based, generates "hits" and is financially lucritive.

This new approach will actually layer "Click Bait", and The Weather Channel believes it can actually keep its viewers on its site for endless hours before they actually get to the story. According to The Weather Channel Marketting Analyst, Propo Gahnda, they estimate this will increase revenue by over 60%, with the added bonus of not having to actually write any more articles, since "...we intend to frustrate our users so much, that they will never actually get to the story before losing interest. Therefore we don't even need to write the story, just the headline!" He later added that this will save on labor as well, and profits should see a marked increase.
